Science has been a passion for me since I was a child.
This interest led me to study Biological Anthropology at Harvard College and also led me to obtain a Master in Public Health at the University of Michigan. After working in healthcare marketing, consulting, and advertising for a number of years, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher in the Chicago Public School system.
I joined the Chicago Teaching Fellows program and received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University. Last year, I was one of 25 CPS teachers selected as part of the MSU/Wipro STEM Fellowship Program. This is my seventh year of teaching in CPS, and it is my fourth year at Sauganash.
When I am not teaching, I am a mom to three children ages 10 to 15 and I enjoy reading, Italian cooking, singing, dancing and music of all genres. I am thrilled to teach at Sauganash and I am looking forward to an exciting and challenging year!
